so we’ve got some digital reissues of scientific american work available for sale.
first up is “saints of infinity / simulated d.i.y.”. this was originally a 4 12″ series, that was then compiled onto a double cd. both were released on slabco records and are long out of print. if you like bang for your buck than this is for you…almost 2 hours of music for $10. not bad.
on itunes: sientific american - saints of infinity / simulated d.i.y.
next up is the scientific american side of the sa/plastiq phantom split 12″ from a couple years ago. two tracks with two excellent remixes, including the r.hudson remix of ffbe. it is awesome.
on itunes: scientific american - tubes
they’re be available at most other digital stores as well. search at your personal favorite and buy from them!
posted a couple more things to vimeo. one is the 95% complete video for a song called ‘tencore’:
and one for ‘all collide as one’. its not really a video, more just a rough motion sketch that’s been sitting on the hard drive for way too long:
added a couple more pieces to the scntfc vimeo channel. another eames piece, and a motion design study from a few years back:
look for more soon, as well as a refresh to this site in order to make more of a distinction between “art” vs. “commerce”.
this was posted here as downloadable quicktime awhile back, now its up on vimeo to ease up on the downloadin’.
there are actually quite a few eames re-scores i did as a commission for the northwest film forum a few years back. i’ll post more in the coming months. direct url: http://www.vimeo.com/687341
so it’s official. scientific american has been commissioned to score academy award nominee typecast pictures’ upcoming feature Z.M.D.

principal photography is complete and we’re currently deep in the editing process. a release date is still a long ways off, but we’ll let you know as details become available.
i’ve been invited to speak upon the virtues of ableton live. i know the words “user group” don’t exactly scream “good time” to most, but to be honest i’m looking forward to this more than most live shows. i’ll be including a mini-performance along with the knowledge kicking. here’re the deets:
from writer jonathan lethem, as published in harper’s in february of 2007. a lengthy essay on the abuse of copyright and its impact on artistic development. this strikes right to the heart of what mass.dstrction is all about.
